Chad Canipe Memorial

10Mar06

Throughout the day today many have gathered or conversed in our community. We have shared hugs, tears, memories, and even laughter as we remember Chad and his indelible mark that he has left on our lives. We are grieving together. Over the next several days we will gather to grieve and remember and celebrate the life of Chad Canipe.

There will be a Memorial Service held Sunday morning (March 12) from 10:00-12:00 at the Vineyard Central building, St. Elizabeth’s, on the corner of Carter and Mills in Norwood, OH (directions). This will be in lieu of our regular Sunday morning worship gathering. Childcare will be provided for those age 4 and under only.

There will be a viewing on Monday evening from 6:00-7:30, also at St. Elizabeth’s.

Instead of flowers, donations to a Trust Fund for Colin and Aidan can be made at any 5/3rd bank. Let them know it is for the Chad Canipe Memorial Fund. We are also working on a website for the same. Once it is up you can donate online at http://www.CanipeMemorial.com.

Also, the family has plenty of food at the moment, we’ll let you know if/when they need more.

Throughout the weekend (beginning at the Memorial Service) there will be a table in the back of St. Elizabeth’s where we will, as a community, create a Memory Book. This will be a place for us to share stories, memories, photos, art, etc… about Chad and his influence on our lives. We will put this together as a gift for Renee, Colin, and Aidan.

Let us keep praying for the Canipe family. This will be a long road of healing for them and all us, but already today I can sense that healing beginning…..
